Two Forces

These two personal pronouns are not meant to designate two separate individuals; instead, they are employed to delineate two contrasting forces that operate within the realm of an individual’s perception. As we navigate through life in an unconscious state, after reaching physical maturity, we remain oblivious to these forces known as “You / তুমি” (Unconscious I) and “I / আমি” (Conscious SELF).

“I” or “SELF” represents the essence of our conscious life, giving rise to a fulfilling existence encompassing both psychological and physiological aspects. This vital force evolves as we age from our birth to youth, adapting to ensure our well-being. However, as we reach the pinnacle of physical maturity, our mind introduces a dormant force called “You / Unconscious I / তুমি,” aiming to challenge and dismantle the very fabric of the “I / Conscious SELF/আমি.” Gaining a deep understanding of the interplay between these opposing forces holds the key to unlocking consciousness.

Failing to comprehend their significance, the dominance of “You” over “I” plunges existence into anguish. Should this suffering fail to prompt introspection and the threshold of “Point-of-no-return” is crossed, a new cycle commences upon the end of our current psycho- physical existence. Living of continuous cycle persists as an unceasing mechanism until the recognition of “You” or the “Unconscious I” and the realization of “I” or the “Conscious SELF” occur, ultimately triggering a new beginning (rowdro) in a given existence. This phenomenon is referred to as “Liberation” (mukti)
